1. What is Omega-3
Omega-3 and Omega-6 are the two basic unsaturated fatty acids which are most closely related to the health of the human body.
Omega-6 fatty acid is contained mainly in the plant oils and produced mainly from linolenic acid and its derivatives. In that case, gamma linolenic acid(GLA) is good element for our health, but other derivatives may cause problems including inflammation, cholesterol increase and blood circulation problems, arthritis, psoriasis and asthma. In order to prevent those problems, omega-3 plays an important role.
Omega-3 may be extracted from limited kinds of plants, but it is mainly contained in shells and fisheries. Fatty acid of omega-3 extracted from fisheries is stronger by 5 - 10 times than that of plants. The best quality is omega-3 extracted from Canadian seals.
The key elements of omega-3 are eicosa pentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosa hexaenoic acid(DHA). Those elements help to manage the content of fibrinogen and increase HDL(good cholesterol).
2. Excellent effect on lowering cholesterol
and improving blood circulation
In an animal experiment blocking supply of omega-3, the animals showed over-increase of weight, insulin resistance and problem of intelligence by which the animal couldn't pass the maze. And part of the animals showed over aggressive behaviors.
By taking omega-3, the adults can lower cholesterol level and improve blood circulation. Especially asian take much plant oil which causes inner inflammation due to excess omega-6. Omega-3 can recover the balance of fatty acids, preventing various adult diseases.
For young children and juveniles, omega-3 is highly recommended, because omega-3 helps to accelerate growth of brain and prevent aggressive characgters.
3. Omega-3 is recommended to;
¡Ü those who suffer from blood circulation problems due to high cholesterol
¡Ü children in fast growing age and juveniles
¡Ü those who suffer from inner inflammation diseases
